Aeroplane Fire Alarm

 aeroplane fire alarm

This fire alarm is designed specifically for an airplane setting. The alarm is envisioned to facilitate a system of communication between three main human-centered areas aboard the plane. Through the intercom system located in the cockpit, the pilot is able to communicate with the flight attendants in the galleys and the passengers in the cabins in an adaptive and situational manner. When inactive, the fire alarm auto-adjusts to the lighting system onboard, changing from a hazy orange to blue-violet depending on day / night mode. A push and twist mechanism activates the fire alarm, turning the bulb to a bright red and sending a signal to the cockpit. The design also features a parting line that extends around the form, allowing for internal electronic and mechanical parts to be changed.

Inspired by the Qrio Smart Lock Q-SL1.
